Topic: THE HOTELS ARE FULLY BOOKED.
TEXT: Luke 2:1-6

1. “It’s not enough to have lived. We should be determined to live for something.”

we get lost, we turn back. Maybe it doesn’t matter which road we embark on. Maybe
what matters is that we embark.”

Text:Luk 2:1-6
● Have you ever felt stranded in the pursuit of a vision?
● Have you ever hit dead ends where it looked like you were at the end of the road?
● Do you keep a diary where you journal everything happening in your life? A peep
into some diaries would simply tell you where their world froze! Full of chapters
of hurts, failures, anger, and lots of negative experiences that only success in helping them
freeze those moments and cast
them in stone ● Nobody covers a significant distance toward the future while traveling in reverse
● Instead of moaning about lost time and opportunities, use the opportunity you have
NOW. You will not always have ALL that you want but you have ALL that you have
everything you need for where you are NOW.
● I want to share a few things you need to know about what to do when your back is
against the wall on the pursuit of a worthy goal. Talking about what to do when
you don't know what to do.
Let us read a scripture Luke 2:1-6.
And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the
world should be registered. This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. So
all went to be registered, everyone to his own city. Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the
city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of
the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was with
child. So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered.

● From these scriptures, we understand that God Creator of heaven and earth wanted to
deliver a dream child. But the world had no room for that to happen. No inns. So God
used what was available to get what was required! A few lessons emerge here.
1. Before there is a delivery, there must be a pregnancy. Nobody can birth what he has not
first conceived.
● It was not first in the realm of the invisible, it can never become tangible. There is a world
of difference between a desire or wish and a vision.
● Like pregnancy does to any woman, a vision will stretch and change you.
● Great visions come with great transformation - diet, appetite, posture, habits. If you have
been around a pregnant woman or have ever been pregnant, you will understand what I am saying
2. The PURPOSE of a pregnancy (Vision)is bigger than the pain of carrying it! Mary's pregnancy
was just another child.
● She was carrying the SAVIOUR OF THE WORLD! She was divinely impregnated.
● Just like your compelling vision was divinely inspired and planted into you. What you
carry is born of God, designed to overcome the world.
● Like Jesus came to save from sin, A God-given dream is designed to solve someone's
problem, saving them from a logjam that only responds to that solution.
. Decide your destination before embarking on the journey.
● Nobody can give you directions for a journey whose destination you don't know. Don't
make your life an open cheque.
● Write a value on it before presenting it to the world. Nature abhors a vacuum. Until
something is specific, it cannot be dynamic!
3. Every vision has its season of fulfilment. There is always an appointed time. Stop setting the
time of your life with another man's clock!
● Every vision of God evolves through a PROCESS required to shape character and the
stature required to function at the destination.
● There is a SEASON for your reason and vice versa.
● While going through season PURPOSE IS THE MOTIVATOR
4. YOU are RESPONSIBLE for the delivery of your pregnancy. Not your pastor, spouse or
neighbour.
● No one knows exactly how your pregnancy feels. They can support or encourage but
only YOU can birth it.
● RESPONSIBILITY IS THE ANCHOR OF A MEANINGFUL DESTINY. Stop blaming
anyone or expecting people to be your crutches. It's your baby. You must birth it!
5. Every vision has its appointed PLACE.
● Before Jesus was born, there was a prophecy. Micah 5:2.
● Geography affects PURPOSE. Every vision or business is to serve a certain people.
● Where are they located? The wise men who came to see Jesus came first to the palace
because they wanted to see a king!
● What they didn't know was that God's vision was to birth the LAMB that would take away
the sin of the world.
● Only one place is suitable for birthing lambs - a manger!
● That place you despise may be the birthplace of your purpose if God led you there
6.Never expect wide acceptance
● Just because your vision is of God doesn't mean that everyone will gladly receive it.
● Stop seeking affirmation from people who have no value for what you carry.
● Rejection is part of the package. This is why you need PASSION and ENTHUSIASM.
● In every Canaan that you have been promised, you will find giants who know NOTHING
and care nothing about the promise you received.
● You must therefore become the President of your own Fan's club!
● The place of vision is always lonely. So, don't take rejection personally
● Opposition is a component of the Laws Motion.
● Don't wait to get it right. Just get it going and you will eventually get it right!
. Hostility or rejection should never be a reason to abort your vision.
● You don't need special skills to play the blame game.
● Should Mary and Joseph have blamed Caesar for issuing a decree that saw a heavily
pregnant woman traveling a far distance only to be refused accommodation even for
delivery?
7. Use what you have now because that may be all you need for where you currently are.
● The manger that is available is of greater value to your vision than a fully booked
hotel.
● Start with what you have WHERE YOU ARE. Never despise the days of humble
beginnings.
● Every oak started as a seed. Be resourceful, not resource-minded. Stop focusing
on what you lack.
10. Finally tonight, if you don't allow your vision to be aborted, you will discover that heaven
celebrates the birth of a great vision. Even though he was born in a manger, angels sang at the
birth of Jesus. Wise men came to pay homage. Your generation waits for yours and trust me,
your success will be celebrated. Remember, we are not limited by what is limiting others
